Book Launch Highlights

Last Friday, I launched my book, In the Fool’s Footsteps, and I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun. I invited friends and family to my local bar and restaurant, where much of the book was written. (There was something creatively magical about three coffees and two pints that propelled the story forward.) Champagne, food, a reading and book signing – perfection.

Click here for a quick video of a portion of the reading I gave.

In the Fool’s Footsteps is available on Amazon ($12.99 for the paperback; $9.99 for the ebook).

Karen, I enjoyed the book launch, especially your reading of parts which were sometimes poignant and sometimes comical. (I also enjoyed meeting a lot of your friends.)

I finished the book in two days and absolutely loved it. My first thought when I finished, without a word of a lie, was ‘Wow! This would make a great movie!” Tonight I emailed my brother and his partner in Moncton, who work in the movie and TV business (costumes and sets, but they know people), and asked them to buy the book and read it. I also asked them to spread the word if they like the book. The only problem is, they don’t read much fiction, but I’m going to bug them about it. You have a talent that should be acknowledged, and I have a feeling you’re going to be one of Canada’s best selling authors.

I hear you’re working on another and I can’t wait to read it.

    Love, Christine
